 OUR MISSION
AND GOALS
Our mission is to provide resources and educational opportunities, in partnership with St. Vrain Valley Schools and our local communities, to enhance student success and teacher excellence. As a result, our goal is to supplement the traditional education experience in ways that maximize the effectiveness of teachers and result in enhanced student achievement in an increasingly complex and competitive worldwide environment. We have the opportunity to positively impact over 27,000 students and 1,500 teachers annually.
We strongly support:
- The full educational spectrum, from students who are struggling academically to those who excel;
- The development of strong reading, writing and math skills, as well as expanded opportunities in science and technology;
- Programs that are integrated into the regular classroom curriculum or are a direct extension of such activities; and
- Professional development for teachers to enhance their ability to focus on the skills students need to be successful in the 21st century.
Our commitments to St. Vrain Valley teachers and students require that we continually looking for ways to expand the reach and impact of the Foundation’s efforts. It also requires that we be clearly focused in all of our activities and aggressive in our fundraising efforts.
Underlying all of the activities of the Education Foundation is our belief that the bedrock of our freedom is a strong and educated population.
