What teachers say about the impact of Education Foundation grants: "Thank you all so very much for the grant award for Heritage Middle School. Words can not even begin to express how grateful we all are. International Towne is such an amazing learning opportunity and thanks to your foundation we will be able to send all of our kids without it being a financial burden on their families. What your foundation does is truly going to make a difference for our kids this year. Thank you so much." Samantha Olsen, 6th Grade Math Teacher - Heritage Middle School
"The support of the Foundation has provided to the 400+ students in my school has enriched their school life at a minimal cost. I could identify the needs of my school community and [with help from the Foundation] create programs to meet those needs." Nancy Kalamaya, Teacher - Sanborn Elementary School
"The Foundation helps us to turn great ideas into real world opportunities. At Burlington Elementary, STARLAB is a premier science program, which allows fourth graders to study the stars. It involves students, parents, astronomers, and community resources in an overnight experience." Nancy Ferraro, LaReina Romero, & Brian Huey, Teachers - Burlington Elementary School
"With our grant from the Foundation, we are aligning our district physical science curriculum to the state standards in preparation for the 10th grade CSAP. Without these funds it would be very difficult to continue our efforts." Insoon Olson, Science Teacher, Silver Creek Middle / High School
The “Books for Breakfast” grant put books into the hands and homes of children with no other resources to buy books in Spanish to read at home. By discussing books at home, it gives them many opportunities for language development with their parents in their native language. Christina Smith, 4th Grade, Spangler Elementary
