Student Scholarships

The Education Foundation provides a number of scholarships for high school graduates going on to college each spring. In addition grants are provided to low-income students pursuing a high school diploma, upgrading career skills, or completing their GED through the Adult Education program.

 

The Donna Bower Educational Scholarship
Donna Bower is a long time employee of the St. Vrain Valley School District at Rocky Mountain Elementary. Her family is honoring her dedication to students with this scholarship.

 

One (1) scholarship for $1,000 will be awarded to a graduating senior who is planning to enroll as a full-time student at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university or trade school, beginning the next fall. Graduating seniors who meet the application requirements but especially those who attended Rocky Mountain Elementary or are a student of a single parent are encouraged to apply.

 

Applications for this scholarship are available through the high school counseling offices throughout the St. Vrain Valley School District and below. Call Kathy Hall at 303-807-2574 if you have any questions.


The Rhonda Herrman Community Involvement Scholarship
This scholarship was established in honor of Rhonda Hermann, former member of the St. Vrain Valley Credit Union staff.  Rhonda was influential in establishing the SVVCU Community Involvement Committee as a way to give back to the community the Credit Union serves.  The Credit Union is happy to continue Rhonda’s vision through this scholarship program.

Two (2) scholarships for $1,000 each will be awarded to graduating seniors who are planning to enroll as a full-time student at an accredited two-year or four-yearcollege or university or trade school, beginning next fall. Graduating seniors, who meet the application requirement of having at least 75 hours of volunteer or community service over the past 12 months, are eligible to apply.

Applications for both of these scholarships are available through the high school counseling offices throughout the St. Vrain Valley School District and below. The Julia Sage Stolte Memorial Scholarship

Laurel, Julia's mother, taught ESL and social studies at Sunset Middle School for 4 years.  She and her husband, Christopher, would like to provide a scholarship that supports a student who embodies their hopes for their daughter.

 

One (1) scholarship for $1,000 will be awarded to a graduating senior who is planning to enroll as a full-time student at an accredited two-year or four-year college or university or trade school, beginning the next fall.  Graduating seniors who meet the application requirements but especially those who have demonstrated a commitment to serving their community and those who are bilingual with the ability to use their language skills to bring people together are strongly encouraged to apply.

 

Applications for this scholarship are available through the high school counseling offices throughout the St. Vrain Valley School District and below.  Call Kathy Hall at 303-807-2574 if you have any questions.

 

 

The Michael Thomas Hoge Scholarship for Mathematics – This is a college scholarship awarded annually by the Education Foundation for the St. Vrain Valley to a Longmont High School graduating senior who has demonstrated excellence in mathematics. The amount of the scholarship is $1000 for one student or $500 each for 2 students. The Longmont High School counselors and faculty of the math department will identify candidates for this scholarship. Contact the LHS Counseling Office for more information.

 

The Scott Meade Art Scholarship - This is a college scholarship awarded annually by the Education Foundation for the St. Vrain Valley to a Longmont High School graduating senior who has demonstrated excellence in art and is planning to pursue art in college. The amount of the scholarship is $500 for one student. The Longmont High School counselors and faculty of the art department will identify candidates for this scholarship.
