March – May: Encore Awards & Tribute to Teachers

Tribute to Teachers engages the many communities from St. Vrain Valley’s footprint in honoring the numerous incredible teachers from the district. The 2016 committee reviewed 309 Encore Award nominations for teachers from 53 schools, narrowing those nominations down to 100 finalists, 55 school winners, 6 spotlight winners and for the first time ever, a single teacher of the year. The Education Foundation celebrates the finalists and winners from each school at its annual Tribute to Teachers dinner on the Friday of Teacher Appreciation Week each May.

June – August: Crayons to Calculators

With every new school year, the Education Foundation for the St. Vrain Valley partners with Impact on Education to stuff backpacks with school supplies for the many students in need within our district. In 2015, the Foundation’s amazing volunteers stuffed 5,300 backpacks throughout July and August all of which were sent out to schools in St. Vrain Valley. Based on the estimates we received from schools throughout the district, we’ll be stuffing closer to 6,000 backpacks this summer!

October: Gala

On October 21st, 2016, the Education Foundation for the St. Vrain Valley will proudly host its first ever Fundraising Gala! The Gala will celebrate the many accomplishments of St. Vrain Valley School District, provide a year’s worth of sponsorship opportunities to donors and forecast the Foundation’s activities for the coming year, as well as serve as our primary fundraiser for each new calendar year. We’re excited to be joined by Stan Litow, the Vice President of Corporate Citizenship and Corporate Affairs at IBM to discuss the importance of Innovation and PTECH in our district.
